Revelation: Part 41

When anyone anywhere, responds to this knowledge by having a desire to know this God, God will move heaven and earth to get the message to them.

We’re talking about a real shaker and mover of the Tribulation here. It says in verse 5, and there was given to him what? A mouth. Now, it doesn’t take a whole seminary course in symbology to figure out what that means, does it?

A mouth. He will be the human beings greatest speaker, have ever heard. That’s discounting Jesus, but we’re talking about what is exposed to the whole world. He is going to be -in fact, I suspect that that’s what the Bible is telling us, it is through his oratory that he will gain such control and power.

He will be coming out with such passion, and with such amazing intelligent solutions to problems, and be able to sit and negotiate with people who are at animosity with each other with such brilliance, such intelligence, such super human knowledge of what both of them are thinking, that he can convince anybody of anything. And using that power, he will bring the world in the first three and a half years of that Tribulation period to what appears to be the greatest period of peace and human development and so forth. He’s gonna say that all this bologna about the Bible, you know, about God’s got to straighten things out, that’s inhibited man’s progression and development all of these centuries. I have come to show you how human nature has the power to do anything.

That appeals to anybody. Especially unbelievers. All right, now, verse 6, and he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God. Now, notice what the blasphemy is about.

To blaspheme his name, his tabernacle, that is, where he dwells, that is those who dwell in heaven. Now, pray tell, who’s that? That’s us. That’s right.

So, why is this brought out? Because it shows one of the first things this Antichrist has to do, is explain what happened to all the people that disappeared. So this is telling us, he’s gonna blaspheme God, his name, and all of those who now dwell in heaven with him. And there’s a contrast between those who dwell in heaven, and let’s read on, look at verse 8.

We’ll jump over something just for a minute. And all who dwell on the earth. See the contrast? He blasphemes those who dwell in heaven, but all who dwell on the earth, this means to settle down in and to live in.

Now look at what it says about them. By the way, this phrase, or this description, those who dwell on the earth, is given seven times in the book of Revelation. And each time it describes something about them. So look for it when you read through the book of Revelation.

I’ll give you the references next week, but see if you can find it. Now, those who dwell on the earth, look what it says about them. Will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. So what are these people?

Those who are described by those who dwell on the earth, who are they? Unbelievers. You know, there is -there are two books that the Bible talks about. There is one book, the book of life, in which before the earth was founded, the name of every person who had ever lived, was put in it.

Then there’s the Lamb’s book of life, in which the name of every person who believes in God’s salvation and Jesus Christ, his name is written in it. Okay? Now, when a person either dies or he reaches a point where God knows he will never change, he’ll never repent and believe, there’s a point where God blots the name out of the book of life that came from before the foundation of the earth. But the Lamb’s book of life, your name is entered when you believe.

So God has a dual bookkeeping system. When you believe, in the Lamb’s book of life, your name is entered. And when you die without believing, your name is blotted out of the book of life that was from before the foundation of the earth. So at the end of human history, what do you have?

Only those who are believers left in both books. So it’s a two-book system of God. There’s also the book of works that we’ll talk about in Revelation 20. Now, let’s go back and make up some time here, in verse 7.

And it was given to him, he first is given a mouth and he blasphemes God and he blasphemes and explains away the people who disappeared. And then in verse 7, and it was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. So here he has authority over everybody. And what does he do?

He goes after the believers. You say, well, where did they come from? Because all of them are gone when the Rapture happens. Well, we got some pretty good evangelists that God’s gonna raise up immediately.

144,000 Israelites that will have the Holy Spirit sealed in them. They will all be miraculously saved just as the apostle Paul was miraculously saved directly. So the 144 Israelites, and they’ll be scattered around the world, they will become evangelists immediately. And they will have great help from two prophets that will be in Jerusalem.

Moses and Elijah. And the first three and a half years of the Tribulation, Moses and Elijah will shake up the whole system. And the Antichrist and the false prophet will hate them so much that when God removes their protection in order to allow them to be killed, the world declares a Christmas. They exchange gifts with everybody.

Everybody rejoices. It says the whole world will see their bodies lying in the street of Jerusalem for three and a half days. And they will see them raised up. See, John knew about satellites coming, television.

It’s the only way the whole world can see ’em. And yet it’s very clear the whole world will see ’em. Certain technology had to take place to make what John predicts possible. Now, it says that he will have authority over everyone.

And all who dwell on the earth will worship him. Everyone whose name has not been found or written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. You see, their right to be in the book is because they believed in the Lamb that was slain. Now, in verse 9, if anyone has an ear, let him hear.

Now, when I was in, way back there, it was a long time ago, I was in chapter 3, remember? Chapters 2 and 3. Seems like forever. Remember seven times there’s seven letters to seven churches that were representative of the seven different kinds of churches that would come in the Church age.

At the end of each letter, what did it say? He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit says to the churches. Here it just says, he who has an ear, let him hear. Verse 10.

If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes. If anyone kills with a sword, with a sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and faith of the saints. During this time, it is futile to try to fight.

Because the Antichrist controls everything. It says if you fight to survive, you’ll be wiped out by the sword. And it says, you know, there’s gonna be such an all-out campaign to wipe out those who believe that it’s a futile fight. Just believe God and die with a smile on your face saying, Jesus Christ is Lord.

Now, verse 11. And I saw another beast coming up out of the land literally. It’s the word dais gaz in the Greek. And this with a definite article is used in the sense of the land of Israel.

So this second beast comes up out out of thee land of Israel. The first comes out of the nations, the Gentiles. The second beast comes out of the land of Israel. Now, it says, and he had two horns like a Lamb, and in the Greek, the word can either be and or but.

It should be but here. And he had two horns like a Lamb, but he spoke as a dragon. Can you figure that one out? He has two horns like a Lamb.

Lamb, who’s that? Jesus Christ. Two horns. Two nations.

Israel and judah. Remember? There was a civil war and when Israel was scattered, first the nation of Israel, the ten northern tribes were scattered. Second, the three tribes that made up judah in the south, were scattered.

He is going to appeal to all of the tribes scattered abroad and wherever they are. So he has the two horns of power from these. And then it says, as you see this second beast is gonna be a Jew. And he spoke as a dragon.

That’s because Satan also gives this one his power. It says and he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the land, literally, and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound is healed. So what does he do?

You see, this one is called later the false prophet. He causes all the nation of Israel to worship the first beast. And he comes as a false Messiah. And, you know, the Israelites have never accepted that God would send a Messiah who would save the Gentiles.

This one will come as one who is to Israel. And so he causes all of those who dwell in the land to be deceived. And they will accept him as the Messiah. And yet, as we read on — are you still with me?

And he makes the land and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast whose fatal wound was healed and he performs great signs. The word signs here, semeion, is the same word that’s used of the miracles of Jesus Christ. So he performs great miracles that are signs that have great meaning to them, in other words. So he says, it says, he performs great signs and miracles so that even -he even makes fire come down from heaven to the earth in the presence of men.

Which of the Old Testament prophets did that? Elijah who’s his competition? Elijah. He’s gonna be here.

So he’s going to upstage Elijah. Now, it says that, verse 14, and he deceives those who dwell on the earth. This time the word takes in the whole world. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast.

Telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come back to life. Here it adds a little something to the wound. In other words, this person who’s deadly -actually the word means fatal. This person whose fatal wound has miraculously healed, was put to death by a weapon, a lethal weapon.

You have to transpose the meaning. Sword was always used as the number one weapon, the number one common weapon of an army. So today it would mean, he was probably shot, or will be. And so it shows that here’s a person that’s gonna be shot in the head, pronounced dead for several hours.

And still talking about what a wonder it is. So it says that, verse 15, and there was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, that is, the image of the beast might even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. Well, here they make apparently an exact image of the Antichrist from Rome and bring it to life. And all that are there, especially in the land of Israel, are gonna be required to worship this image as a facsimile of worshiping the Antichrist in Rome.

Now… And he causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead. Now, you see, he operates as the great religious person who brings about this worship of the Antichrist of Rome. He’s the one that instigates the world beginning to see him as more than a man, but as God.

So he causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, the free man and the slave, in other words, the whole population of the world, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one should be able to buy or sell except the one who has the mark. Either the name of the beast, that is, the number of his name. Now, you see, Satan’s clever ruse here. Satan wants to wipe out all believers.

So he sets up an image and everyone has to worship that image. If you worship the image, you get a mark. If you don’t worship it, you don’t get a mark. If you don’t have a mark, you can’t buy, sell, or hold a job anywhere on this planet.

So what has he very cleverly done? Exposed immediately every believer on earth. Because only a believer in Jesus Christ would have the courage to reject that mark. No one else would reject it.

And so right away he’s exposed to wholesale slaughter, everyone who is found that doesn’t have that mark. Now, look at this again. In verse 17 it says, he provides that no one should be able to buy or sell except the one who has the mark, that is the name of the beast -I’m translating the Greek now because it looks like it wouldn’t make sense otherwise. What it’s saying is, the one who has the mark, that is, the name of the beast which is the number of his name.

That’s the way it should be read. Now, the last phrase is something that bill gates helped implement. You say, how’s that? Because when it says the mark is his name, and the name is digitized because it’s a number.

And this means that the mark has to consist of some kind of a technology where the number can be tracked and be kept. Because how can one man keep track of every person on earth? And know whether they have this number of his name on their forehand or their forehead? Technology has finally caught up with John.

Now we have it. A little chip can be inserted under your skin, in your hand or in your forehead, whichever you want. You probably have the choice. I remember, what was it ginger rodgers, who had a mole and she made kind of a dark spot when she was way back there in the movies.

You can tell how old I am now. But because she had that mole and she emphasized it by putting mascara on it, it became the fad. Oh, man, see that. We’ve got to have one, too.

Well, you can see how people would say, oh, the new fashion’s the mark. I can’t wait to get one. I want to be like everybody else. Only this time you better get it because you can’t buy anything or sell anything.

There are chips now that are no bigger than a drop of water, even smaller, that not only can have the number of the Antichrist’s name on it, but you see, every person, what will happen is, the number of the Antichrist’s name will be the prefix to every number of every person. But you will have to have a personal number added to it. We all have personal numbers now. And what the Antichrist will do is say you cannot buy or sell or hold a job unless your personal number is validated by adding to the front of it my name, which is digitized into a number.

But the chip today can give your whole dossier. Not only your number, and it can be verified whether you’ve sworn allegiance to the Antichrist so that you’ve got the prefix that validates it, but it can tell all about you. And it can tell about you, like I can walk up to within 30 feet of that desk back there and there are readers that can read my chip in my hand at a great distance. And they can look in a computer and tell all about me.

That technology now exists. Furthermore, with satellites every person in the world’s location can be spotted to within one meter. Talk about total control. It’s coming.

And it’s almost here. The ten nations I believe we can now see. The eu. The western eu.

The weu as I’ve said before, first started out as a defense alliance to combat the United States, and to block the United States from putting ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads into Europe. So these original ten formed the weu and that became the framework for developing the ten original members. And from that, all the others that have come in are associate members, but only the original ten are full members of the eu. And I believe it’s the ten in the weu, that are the ten nations.

Every time you wake up in the morning, just thank God and say, today may be my last day. And give it your best shot.
